You can obtain your card on the following dates: (you will need ID so bring your birth certificate. for more info go to www.edmontonsoccer.com) April 17, 3-8pm April 21, 3-9pm April 22, 3-9pm April 24, 3-9pm April 28, 3-8pm April 29, 3-8pm
Cities Most of our U12-16 teams will play in the cities. The date for the cities is July 2-6. Please try to book your vacations after the cities. A full team can compete better with all of its members. If the team places well, it can advance to inter-cities or provincials. Inter-cities are September 13-14 with boys playing in Edmonton and girls playing in Calgary. Provincial dates for U12-18 Tier 4 are September 12-14 in Spruce Grove.
How U12-U18 teams are formed Factors to consider when forming teams: 1) Number of children registered in age group/community. 2) Number of teams that can be made based on # of children and maximum players allowed on a team. 3) Who has coaches in the SE Zone. 4) All ESESA (Edmonton South East Soccer Association) teams formed in each age category must be viable teams.
Example: ESESA has a total of 56 U14B players registered. We prefer 16 on a team to be viable so we can go with 3 teams of 19, 19, 18 players (which leaves little room for late registrants and less player time with such large teams) or we go with 4 teams of 14 and hope for late registrants. We then see which communities have coaches and how each communities numbers fit to make the teams. When we group the children to form teams we try to move them as a group of friends or as a community and we try to move them as close to their home community as possible. We try out best, and all children registered on time will be put on a team. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
