About the Event
Kids Improv Workshop
Ages 9-14
In this workshop, your child will learn improvisation basics including saying yes, supporting your fellow improvisers & listening.
Through short-form improv exercises, participants will start to learn how to tell a story. It's all about using your imagination to create scenes on the spot.
Apr. 15th 1-2:30pm (1.5hrs)
Price: $20 for Community League Members, $22 for Non-Members
About Katie: Katie is an improviser, performer and videographer/editor. For the last decade she has been performing with Grindstone’s 11 O’Clock Number, an improvised musical. Other select improv credits include DieNasty, The Capitol Theatre and the New York Improv Festival. Katie was a performer/writer with Blackout Sketch comedy and has performed with several other Edmonton companies (Grindstone Theatre, Thou Art Here, Cardiac Theatre). TV/Commercial credits include AGLC, City Of Edmonton, Newcap News and as a weather/traffic anchor for CTV Edmonton. Katie currently teaches both drama and improv and has adjudicated for various music festivals across Alberta in the Speech category.
