About the Event

Firepit Comedy Show Info:

Edmonton Comedian, Lars Callieou, came up with the idea for Firepit/Backyard Comedy mainly for his own sanity (read: happiness) while also bringing laughter to groups around Edmonton and surrounding areas.

A few points:

The shows are slightly cleaner than a comedy club, we consider your backyard a public space but there will be some adult content. In my experience I've found that people under the age of 16 don't always fully appreciate stand up (they get a bit bored and the audience filters the show through them making it a little less fun for everyone), for this reason, we're setting the age for the shows at 16+

The show runs approximately 50-70 minutes

It looks like restrictions are going to be lifted for the most part but we have lots of room to spread out in the outdoor rink so you can still maintain the 6ft distance.

We've been doing the shows rain or shine. Some of the funniest shows have been in the rain.

Bring an umbrella and something to drink, a snack and a chair! Then just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Fox Burger will be there the same night so you can come by and grab a delicious dinner to enjoy during the show as well!!

Lars Callieou has appeared at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montréal and has a 1-Hour Comedy Special currently airing on The Comedy Network. He's been overseas to entertain the troops 5 times (Kuwait, IRAQ, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and is a 2-Time Canadian Comedy Award Nominee. He can be heard on CBC's LoL, CBC's The Debaters and on Sirius/XM.

Lars has toured with the likes of Miss Joan Rivers, Jeff Foxworthy, Bob Saget and Martin Short. This past spring he was in the middle of his sixth annual tour in Australia when he was forced to return home. He’s also appeared at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, the Boston Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and the Halifax Comedy Festival in… well… Halifax. It’s safe to say he’s become an overnight success in just 17 years.
